Geography

Visitors will explore concepts of climate, the environment, mapping and other basics of geography focusing on Delaware and the mid-Atlantic region. Visitors will be able to explore the city, countryside, out to the nation, the world and beyond to the solar system – all seen as one vast “neighborhood”. The pathway incorporates map-related graphics, such as a compass rose and lines of longitude/latitude, and spotting scopes along the way. Once inside the exhibit area, visitors will encounter “road signs” indicating distances (miles and kilometers) and directions (north, south, etc.) to destinations around the world.
